I've been with Liz from early 2022. I was very new to cycling, and soon realised that I needed some help.

Over the last two & a half years I've gone from strength to strength. Fellow members of my club have commented on my fitness. Liz and her training and coaching expertise have been a truly winning combination for several areas in my physical fitness and cycling challenges!I have worked with Liz for 2 1/2 years. I will be age 56 this month. Liz has specifically done the following that have meant significant positive changes for me:
1. Shared training plans catered to my specific needs.
2. Keeps the training plans direct and implementable using Training Peaks, as I’m able to do the workouts on a smart bike trainer or ride outside using my Garmin to receive the workout during the ride.

3. Focuses me on all aspects of improving performance, including active recovery, rest days, monitoring my progress with feedback.

4. Race strategies to get the most from my efforts based on my training.

5. Accountability in a positive and humorous scenario so I can tweak the workouts to make the best in the constraints of schedules of a given week.

6. Flexibility to change workouts in the event something comes up in my schedule.

A few examples of Liz’s training providing benefits:

1. The workouts and recovery schedules actually provided my left leg a chance to heal and thrive as I had tightness almost every season before that.  Started working with Liz, within 6-8 weeks, the tightness in that leg had disappeared.

2. Different ways to keep the training  routine in a variety of exercises, including simple ways to use body weight, dumbbells to do a variety of exercises to build strength and flexibility!

3. Strength and flexibility training throughout the year focused on cycling strength- This is where I wanted to place the emphasis along with cycling.

4. Saving me time in my own schedule, with clear direction and focus in the weekly plans and looking out weeks and even months ahead at upcoming races!!

5. Liz’s training focus has resulted in improved fitness, gaining muscle and losing fat, improvement in performance on the endurance cycling races I have competed in….60+ mile gravel races.

My cycling goals have evolved over the years and as I have aged and have more and more family and professional commitments, I have felt the need to enlist the services of a professional coach.  I enjoy having the most fitness possible for the events that I participate in:  local group rides, cyclocross and gravel racing and break the cycle 200 plus its fun to be able to ride all day long.  In the past, I struggled to get the most fitness out of the time I had available given my goals.  Liz listens to what I have in mind, designs a plan to meet them, mixes in structured workouts, indoor workouts, and group rides, and checks in and evaluates how things are going .  I appreciate it.  Cycling Fitness, Nutrition, Mental preparedness, and Core Strength are all part of the program.  I have become stronger on the bike and have a much better fitness level than I ever had before.  I also spend almost zero time wondering what I should be doing to maintain and grow my fitness level, that is priceless. -Andy
